    Philosophy Statement

Children are naturally curious, creative, and capable beings. Each child has a unique way of showing us who they are and their interests. When children’s personality and natural curiosity are heard, respected, fostered, and encouraged, they can accomplish long-term, sustained learning. I believe in listening to each child’s distinctive language, which guides the creation of a purposeful curriculum that reflects who they are and their developmental stage.

In order to develop a curriculum that respects every child as an individual, a partnership with primary caregivers is crucial. Every family’s unique experiences and life styles offer valuable insights on how their children learn best. Therefore, I pay close attention to every story and adapt the curriculum and the environment in a way that best represents every family and child in the classroom.

As an Early Childhood Educator, I constantly listen to and observe children in the classroom to discover what interests them. I then use this information to plan the curriculum and prepare the guiding tools and environment. That said, while children influence my day, I consistently follow a developmentally appropriate daily schedule that ensures each child benefits.

I appreciate parents’ trust in me to care for their children, guide their play, learning and growth, and to provide safe and beautiful environments for them to blossom. I look forward to be your partner in this important task.
